By the summer of 2022, Scotland had secured nearly 20.26% of all the UK RHI accreditations (all technologies). That’s 1,123 MW of installed capacity funded by the scheme.

Although the RHI is intended to support all forms of renewable heat technologies, solid biomass accounts for a significant proportion of 77.98% of all the technologies (across the whole of the UK). The second behind biomass is ground source heat pump installations, at 11.18% (see below).
