The latest RHI regulations have passed Parliament and have now
been fully implemented. The regulations can be found here, here, and here.
The changes included the removal of wood fuel drying, waste
drying or processing, and domestic swimming pools on Non-domestic
premises as eligible uses of heat and changes to efficiency
thresholds for solid biomass Combined Heat and Power plant
(implementation of 20% power efficiency threshold, up from 10%)
Biomass boiler replacement and remaining in the RHI will
now be allowed where an original installation breaks down. An
amendment to the regulations will be introduced to enable
participants to replace their plant with a new 'like-for-like'
replacement and stay on the same tariff for the remainder of their
participation on the scheme.
