Regulations and guidance
Woodfuel supply is governed by regulations; sustainability criteria now apply to both the Renewable Heat Incentive and the Renewables Obligation. To be eligible for funding for either scheme you must comply with these criteria. Forestry and woodland management in the UK are also governed by felling licences and various industry standards and these will form part of the evidence for meeting sustainability criteria.
