Non-Domestic RHI Extension Application for Non-Tariff Guarantee Projects Confirmed

Non-Domestic RHI Extension Application for Non-Tariff Guarantee Projects Confirmed

18th November 2020

The Government recently confirmed that eligible applicants will now be able to submit an ‘Extension Application’ in the final scheme of the month (March 2021), affording them an additional 12 months after the closure of the scheme.

As part of the ‘Extension Application’, applicants will be required to provide evidence that they have invested resource into project development prior to the publication of the original Government response (17th August 2020), demonstrating that the project has been impacted by Covid-19 delays.

The Government’s publication confirms a tiered approach to the evidence required, the full detail of which can be found here.

Ofgem are also developing further guidance and will finalise the administrative process to deliver the policy ahead of the extension application window in March 2021.
