Reminder: RHI Wood Pellet Fuel Quality Suspension – November 2023

From 23^rd November 2022 the wood fuel quality requirement for pellets used in RHI compliant boilers has been suspended.

At the outset, this suspension was to remain in force for 12 months. Therefore from the 22^nd November 2023 all users of pellets on the RHI scheme will have to ensure that any further pellets they purchase will need to meet the original sustainability requirements.

OFGEM may decide to extend the suspension period, but as of today (8^th of November) that has not occurred.

Usewoodfuel Scotland will provide updates if OFGEM make further announcements.
